I watching Oprah and she had a show on happiness. This doctor on the show said that a lot of people have "destination addiction". This is when you think that life will be good when you reach a certain goal. I think like that all the time. I keep thinking I will be happy when I get married or get more money. How can I be happy now? Is anyone out there who makes the most of each day like they say you should?

I just enjoy the fact that I am alive! Think about it...you are here, in this wonderful world...go outside in the morning and listen to the birds...sit outside in the afternoon sun and close your eyes, just feel the warmth on your skin...if you have kids, watch them for 5 minutes, unnoticed-just watch them and see what they do. I love to watch my 2 year old son...I also like to watch my 8 year old daughter when she doesn't know...they grow up so fast! I just like to see their actions and reactions to things! Think of all the people that are less fortunate than we are...at least you are not fighting in the war or starving and homeless...I hope this helps you! Good luck and God Bless!!

If it dark where you are, run around the house naked or sit on the front porch, just do not move if people walk by, they never see you.
Talk to strangers.
When you off work for a few days, just drive in one direction for 1/2 you time and turn around and come back. Take pictures.
Meet new people, no matter how weird they seem, just be careful, some are too weird.

Yeah, I just friggin dont care, I bust *** all day long at work (10-12hrs), go to the gym and bust *** afterwards, get home and drink beer. On the weekends, I might do anything from snowshoeing, to snowboarding, to mountain biking, to hiking, to kayaking. Just friggin live like everyday is your last. **** goals like that, just make your goal of everyday be having a good time.

You need to think about all the good things that you have... how fortunate you really are. you should be happy for what you have. once you realize how lucky you are, and stop worrying and longing for things you dont have yet you will be able to be happy, till then forget about it.
