He owes $28,324 in back child support! Could the judge make him sell his house? Can he go to jail, lose his driver's license, lose his contractors license? Will he have to pay every single penny of it?

From what I have seen in 3 different states, it is up to the judge. But most judges are pretty tough. He could end up loosing all he owns, and time to. He needs to look at ways to make some serious money fast, honestly, he doesn't need any more court dealings, start showing some serious effort to pay. But yes if the judge says he has to pay all, he will have to. Back child support also means, contempt of court already, so be prepared, the judge may be pissed off already.

they'll take so much so much from him either by the week or by the month but either way he will have to pay his child support,they won't take his license or contractor's license,they will make him sell his house and any thing else of value,he can be made to paid about 3grand a month depends on what state he's in

Yes to all the above.
In Nevada they take your driver's license away.
however, my ex-husband got away with $100,00.00 in child support; the way he did it; was changing his name and his social security #
but, in the long run it comes back to bite sooner or later; now he is
closed to the retirement age ;he can't collect S.S. because he have changed it so many times.
tell your brother to take a loan on the house; to pay off; lets face it ! It will not go away; unless he wants to do what my ex did; in the long run is not the best way to go.
It's not worth to loose his contractor license, or go to jail.
if he speaks to the child support enforcement; they will allowed him to make some kind of payment arrangements; it does not cost anything to find out.

He might go to jail, he will not loose his license but if he goes to jail a license may be useless to him. A judge can make him pay what he owes, it depends on the laws in the state where he lives.

YES!!!!!!!!! States are breaking down on dead beat dads. And I think they should be. In fact this weekend I am going to court b/c my daughter's dad is a dead beat. He will start to pay or he will go to jail lose his license until he starts to pay every penny back. The same will happen to ur brother all the mom has to do is call the state child support office and they will take care of him for her.

He will sit in his room listening to Rush as opposed to becoming a great bassist or drummer . You can't discharge child support through bankruptcy and every thing else you listed could apply.
