It's a bit of a non-interesting question except if your body doesn't match your sense of self, at which point it becomes highly important.

The point of being a Girl or a Boy is to take on a gender role biologically (including reproductively), socially, and within the family. To be a lesbian or gay man is to bring some of those ideas into question, and this may be some of the reasons that gay people have trouble gaining acceptance.

Gender roles are assigned, but they are not firm. Women & men in free societies can switch roles relatively easily, although they frequently must endure teasing, which is a mildly punishing way to try to get you to revert back to the traditional role.

So if you are looking for the "point," there is no simple answer. There is, however, a comfort level that each of us hope to achieve in our own sense of our sexual selves.

You're question is not understandable on two levels, but i believe you are asking why are people transgendered? Transgendered people feel as if they are born of the opposite sex into a female or male body. <---I hope that doesnt confuse you.
