Well said. I couldn't agree with you more. You hit the nail right on the head. (there is that old saying: "one can lead a horse to water, but one cannot make him drink") This is what a lot of students (or parents) don't understand, that a teacher's job is to provide the material, the explanation and to demonstrate what is possible. The responsibility for learning rests squarely on the students' shoulder. This is also the reason why you see so many posts on here blaming teachers for everything under the sun. It's never the students' fault when they do poorly or fail. A case of that other addage: "a good defense always depends on a better/stronger offense". ps. I didn't have a problem understanding your question but here's how it should have looked. What do you think about this statement: "Teaching, is only the art of demonstrating that it is possible. Learning, is the art of making it possible for yourself" ?.....I'm using the word art because both teaching and learning are an art that needs to be mastered.

agree with her, plus the statement 'teaching is only' is not very proper to say. Teaching takes at least four years of college. Teachers are the main adult in the lives of many students. Some teachers wait 2 hours after school because no one came to pick up the child, and don;t care enough to pick up their own child. I'm trying to say that besides educating which is enormous in itself, a teacher wears many hats, and it's all for the sake of concern for students.

I agree

A teacher opens the door - the student has to walk through the doorway.

What are you talking about? Between your grammar and spelling, I have no idea what you're saying. Please re-word and re-post your question.
