alright... well first off I want to let you know that I liked Reagan alot.

but I will admit that action was extremely wrong. but you have to give the man some credit. his interests were only in protecting democracy around the world. and congress would not let him so he had to find another way around in order to insure that the western hemisphere was not under communist influences.

other presidents have gone with out apporoval from congress making drastic changes to our country for example the Louisiana purchase, where Andrew Jackson had no approval from congress to make the purchase.

He did go out of line, but only for the interests of democracy,
right or wrong is your opinion.

im sorry if any of this information is wrong, this all is true according to my own knowledge, im only 17 and a junior in high school.

All administrations make back room deals with shady characters. Someone will find out and depending on popularity or damage control by the administration will determine public fallout.

reagan was an actor.

he acted tough and acted as though he cared about america.

but consider this - in 1980 america EXPORTED more finished products that were made in factories right here in the usa than any other nation on earth.

then reagan declared his war on the middle class.

and current cons of all sorts admire this guy...

The US negotiates with terrorists daily. Like CIA success, you just don't and won't hear about it.

We almost saved Daniel Pearl from his TV beheading.

It's hush, hush secretive special ops type insider politics you're not privilaged to.

Hmm...and the Cold War ended due to many policies he enacted. Too bad he has Alzheimer's, he could teach Bush a thing or two about foreign policy.
