I can't go more than 1 minute watching an NBA game without seeing every player travel on route to the basket. And no referees ever call it! Since when can you run 3 steps and then lay it up? Since when can you run two steps, stop, pivot and then shoot? You have to release the ball at the conclusion of the second step. I hate watching this crap. Anyone with me, lol?

Because that's part of todays game. This doesn't bother me, cause If the refs called every little tic-tac call, the games would be drawn out even more, alot of players today, seem more like actors, the way they flop to get calls. But you are correct, the superstars almost always get away with "walking"

yes this is true. alot of player get away with travels. However this year i have seen alot less players get away with it that last year. The refs were told to start calling travel more often this season along with handing out techs( but lets not get into that). but this past year i got that divo where u can pause and rewind tv... i watch basketball all the time and i am always replaying highlights during the game. and ive found out that players arent always traveling like it seems. over the last few years basketball player have been taking on soccer as an extra curricular activity. it changes the way thier footwork looks. next time u c the phoenix suns play, watch steve nash and leando barbosa play.

Because the officials suck? K, that wasn't very nice of me. I agree completely that the NBA should enforce traveling. Count Kobe's steps, and then try to justify calling it on a 10 year old. They are setting a terrible example, and breaking the rules. I quit watching, except for the playoffs, years ago.

The referees have been getting worse and worse over the years since they haven't been hiring too many new ones. The constant rule changes and old age doesn't help as well, and then again you also have David Stern doing nothing about them getting so bad so they miss calls and make up for them with bad calls and it leads to more and more bad officiating.

Yeah, I am with you, but w/college hoops over for the year, it's all we have. I would say that I can go for more than 1 minute, but the players do take liberties with the 1 1/2 steps they are allotted after they pick up their dribble.
