Yes. Do you remember 35 mm film or DOS or VCRs or floppy disks or CRTs or light bulbs? Sheesh! You talk like it was from your grandaddy's day, Lad.

My cassette collection started when I was a teenager. I listened to them through high school, college, grad school. And I still listen to them today along with my collection of LPs, 45s and 78s as well as all my CDs and MP3s. And I still watch my VHS tapes along with my DVDs. Tell me why that's strange?

Much of this stuff has never even been released in digital format. I'm doing the transfers myself. Besides why spend all that money to repurchase music and movies you already own?

I wore out my share of cassettes back in the day. Remember making cool mixed tapes? Or trying to record your favorite song to cassette when it came on the radio. That was always a challenge. Oh well, glad everythings digital now...much more clarity.

Yes I remember them! Sometimes when I go to the library I check out books on tape for my 3 year old son. But I would not buy a tape they are so old!

I don't miss cassette tapes, but I sure as heck remember them! They sucked and would always get "eaten" by my tape player and get ruined. Then I would just rip all the tape out and make a huge mess.

I remember 45's where you had to put something in the center so the record would evenly circulate around. I remember putting a quarter on the tone arm so it wouldn't skip; I remember reel-to-reel tape recorders that were a pain to rewind. I remember 8-tracks where the song started on one track and finish (louder or softer) on the next track.

Yes, and still have about 3 boxes full of them. I still use them once in a while since I have not too many Cd's that is replaced by them. It cost too much money to get them to all Cd's.

I remember making mix tapes, and having the song run out at the end, then flipping the tape over, and having the other half of the song on the other side.

Thank God for mp3's lol.

idk...i definitely like the quality of cd's better than tapes...but my cd's get scratched and then i have to pay $20 for a new one of the same cd that i already own! either that or live w/ a scratched cd.
