We have not had a terrorist attack on the United States mainland since 9/11 prove that Bush is doing something right?

Of course it does. Without even reading any of the other answers, I know that a lot of people will disagree with that, however, the fact stands that not one American civilian has died in the United States since Bush brought the war to them.

Clinton didn’t do it. He bomb as asbrin factory and made the terrorist think we were ineffectual fools. He allowed attacks on this country to go unanswered, or even worse, answered incorrectly.

I see this as Viet Nam all over again. The American soldier did not lose the war in Viet Nam, the American people, forcing their will onto their politicians lost the war.

At least now people say they honor the men overseas, it was not the same way when I wore a uniform.

Addition: On the mainland, there was the car bombing in the Trade Towers. On our "soil" there was the car bombing of several embessy and the Marine Barraks. There was the attack on the USS Cole. Do you want me to go on?

And, no one said he was doing it by himself, but you all seem to want to blame him for everything even though he is not doing it all by himself, so perhaps he should get some credit when things go right. . . .

Not necessarily. Think he's up in the White House, all by himself doing a solo act? And of course, we've had help from allies.

Yes. However fumbling they make him look (he doesn't need help to look fumbling), he has kept us safe. We've had to give up some constitutional rights, but our children are safer.
