This is not a right or wrong question. It is when is it appropriate question. At certain times it is okay to show cleavage and at others not. At my job interview for a bartending position I did, for the non-profit organization I did not. Family functions, children's school functions, traditional job interviews it is not okay to show cleavage. At places like this you want to be remembered for who you are and not for what you are wearing. Going to a club, a beach party and any function where you do not mind men ogling you or women trash talking you is fine. It is not fair, but it does happen when women show cleavage. For many it is trashy, keep that in mind. Not everyone watches teen movies and follows Hollywood's lead. There are other ways to accentuate a bust line without actually showing it. For example, a form fitting blouse (not tight) is a good way without offending most people and without every man looking down your blouse. If you have to ask if it is appropriate or not then it is not. I am not against cleavage by any means, but it is definitely not always appropriate.

I do not think so. It definitely depends on where you are going and that you feel comfortable with yourself. I do love this Dave Chappelle quote regarding this situation....

"You know sometimes you are out at the club with your boys and you see a woman and she looks good. She looks good but not in the classical sense. She's got half her *** hanging out her skirt, titties all mashed together, popping out the top of her turtleneck and sh*t. So you go to talk to her but you've been hanging with your buddies and have got a couple drinks in you so it doesn't come out right.

You're like "DAMN!!! Look at them titties".

She interupts you and says, "Just because I am dressed this way does not make me a whore.".

That's true fellas. Just because she is dressed that way doesn't make her a whore.

But you must understand ladies, that that is f*cking confusing. That would be like me, Dave Chappelle the comedian, going out in public in a cop uniform. People come up to me and they're like "Help me officer, we need you over here".

Then I go "Wait a minute buddy, just because I am dressed this way does NOT make me a police officer".

You see ladies, you may not be a whore... but you sure are wearing a whore's uniform."

That being said, I do not think it is wrong AT ALL to wear low cut tops and show cleavage if it is tasteful. If it is more in a (and I hate this adjective) "sluttly" way then I think you should anticipate a strong reaction from the opposite sex.

It depends where you are wearing these low tops and who you are with. Use your common sense on the situations.

Yes, girls wear low cut tops to show off their boobs. But I wear tight shirts so that they stay in there, not loose ones! :)

as long as you're not a professional of some sort (besides exotic dancers, strippers, actress, model, etc) at work or at church, a wedding, or some other formal event then no its not wrong.

It really depends on what point you're trying to make...

If you're a nursing mother, it might help your baby out...

If you're a hooker, it might bring you a customer a little quicker..

If you're at home with hubby, it might get you some action...

So....it really depends on your circumstances....

I don't think it is wrong. But don't expect not to get attention, and don't be offended when you do.
I personally get a bit of a confidence boost when a guy looks at me, but you don't have to be half naked to get them looking.
