I'm 21 years old and I have never been to the gyno. I have had sex before but i am no longer sexually active. Everyone tells me you have to go once you turn 18 and once a year after that. If i dont see anything wrong, is it absolutely necessary for me to go?

Oh jeesh! You can't tell if you have cervical cancer or HPV or STDS (many do not show symptoms) on your own.

YOU MUST GO TO THE GYNO EVERY YEAR!!! This is not even a question. It takes all of FIVE MINUTES for the doc to check you and do a pap.. And your doc also checks to see if your breasts and ovaries feel ok. And you should get a blood test to check for other STDS that can't be detected by a pap.

Yeah, it's a little uncomfortable...but it's for your health. It doesn't hurt for most women. Suck it up and be brave! Everything is probably A ok with you, but just in case, you should get checked out every year...if you don't, it could be too late for certain conditions.

If you don't have insurance, go to a free clinic..PLEASE!

you're a splash youthful to be going to the gyno. The "G" shot they're conversing approximately is possibly Gardasil. it is a drug this is meant to dodge cervical cancer. despite if, it hasn't been thoroughly examined and a few undesirable edge effects or maybe dying have resulted. once you bypass, communicate over with the well being care expert your self. tell the well being care expert which you somewhat choose to renowned each and everything with regard to the shot and not merely the fluffy stuff on classified ads. i've got heard the shot is greater painful than others. it is given three times and it is frequently given like a conventional shot interior the arm or leg. you may desire to speak to the well being care expert once you spot them so which you recognize what's taking place. Take charge of your well being. I under no circumstances have been given it because of the fact they do no longer know lots approximately it. they do no longer even know in case you go with boosters years down the line or how long it lasts. It merely protects you returned 4 of the a hundred lines of HPV (which has been suitable to cervical cancer). the somewhat G spot shot is a shot given to augment a woman's sexual adventure round her G spot. That does no longer be for you regardless of the undeniable fact that.

I never went until I was pregnant with my son, and I was 26. The thought made me uncomfortable, and I never had any problems that made me think I should go. Everything checked out ok, but I've learned that there are many things that could've been wrong and I wouldn't have known it.

I'd say no, you don't NEED to go, but you should. Thinking back it was silly of me to be afraid. It IS an uncomfortable experience, but much more uncomfortable to need surgery or something for a problem that had grown over time and could've been prevented.

Once you have sex, no matter what age you are, you have to go to the gyno. It's no big deal, you will feel better once you get checked out because you'll know everything that's wrong and right with your body. They will check you for stds and other infections and make sure you don't have cervical cancer.

How exactly are YOU seeing your own cervix?????

An annual pap smear is an absolute MUST once you become sexually active, even if you're not currently having sex. This is the test that detects cervical cancer, which if left untreated can kill you.

ANNUAL gynecological exams are a simple way for YOU to take care of YOU. Because frankly my dear, no one else is going to do it for you.

If you've had sex in the past I'd go to the gyno. Most of the major STD's can have no symptoms and go undetected for years meanwhile they're scarring your uterus and decreasing your fertility.

Yes. Most cancers of the female reproductive organs start out with no symptoms whatsoever and by the time you begin to have symptoms, it's spread so far that there isn't anything you can do about it. You need to get an annual PAP smear.

It's highly recommended to at least go and get your Pap yearly. Most serious conditions don't present any signs until the disease has progressed significantly. A Pap smear is a very easy way to ensure your health.

You need to get pap smears. As unpleasant as it sounds, it's only 5 seconds to swab you that could save you years of your life. Cervical, ovarian, and other reproductive cancers strike us young women (I'm 22 myself) and can be aggressive. And with past sexual activity, I'd get an STD panel just to be on the safe side, regardless of how well you know them or trusted them.

You said you don't see anything wrong---that's why you need to go, There's a lot going on in there, and a lot that can be treated at a very early stage. If you are afraid it will hurt it is uncomfortable for a sec, If you are embarrassed their are plenty of female doctors out there
