I must say that is a great question, ive never noticed till you mentioned it!! Sorta made me laugh as its so true. Maybe so if there was going to be a drug robbery it would be harder?? i dont know just summising. xo i like Hobbsmoms answer

They want you to get as many customers sick as possible, meaning those people will revisit the store to buy prescriptions and medicine. Then those new sick people will get others sick as they walk through the whole store, a never ending cycle of customers in need of meds. It's genius I tell you!

illegal to sell cigs in drugstores in Ontario for about ten years+ now, but I understand your point. All the people who need the exercise (fat) can buy all the chocolate bars they want at the front of the store! What would happen if all the junk food were sold in stores where you had to climb a steep hill to get to it? btw >What makes you think the people buying smokes are healthy?

Because they have to have a back corner of the building. They have security and vaults in the the pharmacy area and also it gives them a running change to catch the person if they try to take off with drugs

They want them to spread the germs around so they get an increase in business. Besides, they know the cigarette people will eventually be in for their iron lung.

i think it 's to make the sick people get a little exercise. maybe in their mind they're helping all the sick people out. or maybe it 's that they want to hide them all in the back so no one in the front has to look at them. either way it's quite rude!

Well, i'm sure that people who smoke aren't the healthiest of people. I should know, I was a smoker. I also work at a pharmacy. HAHA.

I think it is a way to deter drug thieves because they would have to run all the way through the store to escape.
