When can you start adding a bit of butter and salt to baby food such as carrots and potato, she is seven months, I give her vegimite on bread or toast, I give her a mouthful of normal milk from my glass at times- she has no vomiting affect, she also has a soft potato chip at times and pieces of vegetables.
Another question also she is stuck on 7 ounces and has 5 bottles through the day is this an okay amount for her age (formula)

I'll give you the same advice my pediatrician gave me, do what is right for your daughter as every baby is different. Giving her table food with butter is fine, one of my kids was practically off of baby food at 6 months as it wouldn't keep him full (now I have friends who tell me that I was being a bad mom, but the doc said it was fine). If your daughter can handle 8 ounces that's fine as well. Graham crackers, popcorn and stuff is fine as well. There is no correct or incorrect way just do what is right for your daughter and trust your instincts, you are with her more than anyone else, including your doctor.

I've seen recipes on the internet for homemade babyfood that say to put a bit of butter or salt in them. But everything I've read from other sources says that they don't need those things in their food at all. I'm making my own food and I don't think that I'll add anything to it until she's at least a year old.

As for the 35 oz of formula, as long as she's staying on a normal growth curve then its what's right for her. The general recommendation is between 26-32oz per day.

You don't need to salt food for a while. babies have very sensitive taste buds. Too much flavor and she might not eat it. Wait until at least 18 months to start and even then you don't need a lot. Using salt and butter early will make your baby want it and eventually want more of it because the flavor will not be as strong as she gets older and too much butter and salt is not good for anyone. And the amount of formula she is drinking is fine.
