First of all - relax.
The extra tension is causing your muscles to naturally tighten.
The next time you need to urinate - gently see if you are able to remove.
Do NOT wait until you are ready to flood with urine.....but sometimes the gentle release dampens the tampon and may make easier to remove.
If still unable to remove within the next hour or so, go to medical clinic or emergency room.....do not be embarrassed for this happens more times than you realize.
These items are not made for everyone to use. Should be dependent upon age, sexual activity and size of your female area.
Most of all, do not panic. It can be taken care of easily.

If it hurts while you're trying to take it out, wait two more hours. It's safe to leave tampons in for 4-8 hours, and removing them too soon can be painful because they aren't... I guess wet enough would be the phrase. Or does it hurt while it's in? If that's the case, try to reposition it- push it up a little further. Sounds icky, but it might help quite a bit. If they aren't in quite far enough, they press against the wrong places inside and that can really hurt. Good luck!

Leave it be for a couple more hours. The reason it is hurting you when you're trying to take it out is because it has not absorbed enough fluid and is sticking to your vaginal wall. Its nothing to be afraid of and nothing to get freaked out about.
If you absolutely MUST get the tampon out right this second, get some KY jelly, and lubricate your finger VERY well. Insert your finger into your vagina, find the tampon and move your finger all the way around it, till it comes loose. Then gently pull it out.

Sit in the bathtub and fill it up just a little, the water will go inside and soak in to the tampon, it will make it easier to come out.
Or sit by your sink, and pour a cup of water down there, but make sure it gets to the tampon.
Best of luck!
that really hurts!

As was mentioned, soak in the bathtub and get some water on the tampon. Relax, breathe and then pull gently, but firmly. If your muscles are too tight, you'll just be in more pain.

All tampons have a string attached to them that should allow you to remove it. If the string has broken and/or you absolutely can't remove the tampon yourself manually (it takes practise), you'll have to see a doctor. The doctor will have the equipment that will help remove it.
In the future I suggest you find slimmer tampons that will fit you better, or wear pads.

Well I think you should really tell an adult. Or maybe like your mom. Or you know you can ask one of your friends.(who's a girl) Or ask the doctor. Becuase if you leave it in too long you will get it infected and maybe have a disease. Also try pulling the string and maybe it can come out.

You need to see your dr to have them help you get this out. If you are worried about the dr being embarrassed or laughing because this occurred please don't. Gynecologists see this kind of situation on a regular basis. If you can't go there try your primary care physician if you have one. If not try an urgent care center to see if they can help you.

Try inserting a little KY jelly it should make things moist enough to slip it out, if you are at the end of your cycle switch to pads because your flow may be too light for tampons.

well yu need to relax ur muscles and just untense ur body. as long as yu still have the string ur fine. yu may need to pull it out at an angle, it may not pull straight out. I used vacceline on my first few, it helps a lot. put it on the applicator. also whoever said that pads are healthier and cleaner that is not true! they are messy and stinky and gross. GOOD LUCK.
