15 feet. It is an oak tree that was planted by my great-great grandfather.

A pear tree is about 20 feet out my front door. There's about 15 more trees and bushes within 50 feet of the pear tree.
A big wisteria plant which should be blooming in the next month.

About 10 feet. A beautiful old Magnolia. It was on the property when Dad built the house. He left it to shade the front windows. Even hurricane Katrina didn't get it. Katrina got 4 big pines but the Magnolia is still standing proud. There may be something behind that. It was Mom's favorite tree.

It's about 5 feet to the nearest tree in my yard. It's a palm.

I would have to walk 23 feet to touch the nearest tree.
It is a White Birch tree and about 15 years old.
I love it and so do the birds! : )

Out the front door..down the steps (watch out for dog doo..haven't scooped today) past the flowering broom..maybe 10 steps..and you hit my arbutus..with a rack of deer antlers dangling from the branch...
