Im at a community college, and to get into the nursing program I have to take 2 years of pre-reqs, then go on a waiting list for a year, then start the 2 years nursing school program. There has to be a faster way? I've already finished one year of my pre-reqs.

Not really. A community college RN program is about as short as you can get.

But if you're going to put that much time in, look seriously at a bachelor's degree RN program at a four year college. In the long run, your career will benefit from getting the BSN.

That's the way the program works. You can't be accepted into the RN program until your prerequisits are finished. Sounds like you are well on your way though, so don't give up if this is what you really want to do.
