It shine just like the moon. Planets reflect light. When you know where it positioned in the sky you can see it and many others planets. In the day you not see. Usually Venus can be seen early morning when nothing else show, but, she has always been a woman to stand out.
Stars Flicker and Planets do not!

You see it because the same thing happens to Mars as happens to the moon: radiation from the sun in the form of light travels to Mars' surface, and reflects off of it and the reflected light travels back to earth.

Mars and Venus do no longer supply off mild. the sunshine is from the solar. those planets are merely reflecting the sunshine from the solar backtrack to earth, very like the moon. There are photos of earth from area probes and rovers sent out into area. Earth has a blue colour.

just like the moon and the other planets, it reflects the light from the sun back to us here on Terra.
