How long will it take the same two men to dig a hole 6 meters long, 6 meters wide, and 6 meters deep if they worked at the same rate?

Easy.
The first hole you described contains 3x3x3=27 cubic meters.
That's 2 men doing 27 cubic meters in two hours--13.5 cubic meters an hour.

Now a hole 6x6x6meters=216 cubic meters.
27 divided into 216= 8

Thus, the second hole is bigger than the first by a factor of 8 times.
Same two men working at the same rate would take
8 times as long to dig the second hole from a dead start;
so they'd take 2 hours x 8=16 hours.

The answer is 16 hours. Since each dimension is doubled, the volume is 2^3 larger for the 6 meter hole than for the 3 meter hole.

There is some information missing here. When does the weekend finish and the weekday begin? At 12 PM Sunday night, 6 AM Monday morning, or some other time? How long is a day of non stop working? 8 hours? 12 hours? or 24 hours? When you say that the table spoon is 1/5th the size of the shovel, is that measured from the tip of the shovel to the end of the handle? The length of the spoon bowl? The volume of the material that can be lifted in a spoon? How fast does he work with a spoon compared to a shovel? Does he lift 5 spoonfuls in the same time that he lifts one shovel full? Does he remove dirt at the rate of 5x with a shovel as compared to a spoon?
