Why not? Even if alcohol is served, the bar is usually separate from the dining area. You dont have to be of legal age to order food. Also, here in PA the legal age to drink is 21, but an 18 year old can not only work a bar, but can even own one! So, yes, 15 and 16 year olds CAN go to a restaurant without being accompanied by an adult.

As long as you're acting respectfully and not being loud and unruley, you absolutely can go out and enjoy yourself. Just remember, tipping should be appropriate. I've been a waitress before and it's very frustrating to spend an hour taking care of someone (regardless of age) only to be stiffed at the end. The general guideline is 15% if the service is average and at least 20% if the server was really on the ball.
Also, far too often, teenagers tend to leave a huge mess on the table when they leave. Just remember to leave your dishes neatly on the table and try not to make a giant mess. This actually goes for EVERYONE...not just kids.

The above answer is correct but it can depend on where you are and what the rules are for that particular establishment. When I was 15 my parents and I went to visit Vancouver BC. One day we went to a licensed restaurant for lunch and were told that I couldn't eat there because I was underage, despite the fact that the bar was on the other side of the building. After arguing with the management, my parents and I left and ate lunch somewhere else.

Yeah.. why wouldn't they? I'm 16 and have been going and doing by myself for awhile now.. It wouldn't make any sense not to let a 15-16 year old go.

Yes, so long as they have money to pay, and they are behaving well, they will not be thrown out of the restaurant.

I go to restuarants all the time with my sister who is 12 and i am 13. we always go alone bc our parents are too busy working. just make sure you dont get bad service bc you're a teen.
