yea. especially when the truth may hurt somebody's feeling and u can survive better without telling it. sometimes telling a lie simply saves the day. wen it isn't such a big deal and you know that one day you will reminisce and chuckle at it.

Definitely. Sometimes, a white lie can make a huge difference in the outcome of a day, month, year, or decade. If you make a mistake, but you are absolutely sure that you will never make again & know your error without complicating the problem by telling a parent and risking losing their trust, it can be better to stretch the truth a little. Obviously there are times when complete honesty is the best way to go, but sometimes, the truth can do a lot more harm than good.

No - lying is much different from being polite about your opinions...
If you say "That is a nice shirt" and don't mean it... that is NOT a LIE... it's called being complimentary.
A lie has never "saved the day" - it has only postponed the invetible... which is that the truth (when it finally comes out) will hurt twice as much.

Sometimes, situations call for a lie. They're not the best, but sometimes you need them!

A couple of lies (not only one) can really save the day.
The problem starts from the day after....!!!!

Most definitely. Too often "absolute honesty" is just another term for "absolute cruelty".

Oh yes!
I always agree about how beautiful people's babies, spouses, etc. are.
There's no other solution, is there?
