Short story: My 6yr old son has encopresis, poops in pants several times a day and can't help it. Medicine takes up to if not more than 1yr to fix problem. I don't want him to be called "smelly kid" or have chunks of poo fall out of his pants or have other kids tease him. Do you think its a good reason to homeschool him until I get this problem resolved, which I am in the progress of? I'v already asked this question in parenting & grade school section & got no answer. Tell me your opinions please!!!

Might of thought it was a joke, mostly do to the fact that it would be a darn good reason to.... so really I couldn't think of a reason to subject your son, or the class to what would happen if he was there. So yea help your son out and keep him away from those peer groups, they can be ruthless.... besides there is actually a lot of reason why parents choose homeschool over public that go beyond anything like that. It can be a big help to as long as you continue to let him meet with other kids his ages once and awhile during the phase. Can't completely cut him off from socialize are it well effect his social development, but thats nick pickin so as long as you keep him happy and social he'll be alright for that when he gets to the school....
