Not necessarily. Increased proximity also leads to increased annoyance. There has to be a spark of attraction to begin with.

I'm not sure bout this one,
on the one hand increased could mean he/she wants to be closer to you.
But on the other hand it could just mean that they are comfortable with you as a friend and don't feel any boundaries because they don't think it means anything
