Actually, I just bought 1 yesterday. Last friday my son came home from school with a fish in a plastic bag of water. It spent the last few days living in a large pickle jar.

Tropical Fish in a 4 foot tank, it is really relaxing to watch as they swim, breed, feed etc. nice to watch instead of the idiot box.
Just know take your time in setting it up, ask for help and take on the advice given.
I clean the tank maybe evry 6months to a year (with changing the water) I clean the glass when it looks green & slimy (which is a 1 month thing & gets done when the filter has to get cleaned) Feed every two to three days & you will be sure that they won't be over fed or the ammonia-nitrate in the water isn't too high.
Once a tank "settles" you will have no problems, & remeber that not all fish get along.

I have a 75 gallon tank. Salt water is high maintenance, you gotta leave it to the pros,it's just too hard to keep up with and the fish/plants cost way too much to keep killing them over a 1 degree change in temperature. I have fresh water, the fish are cool, but the nice ones are expensive.Just be aware of the reputation the pet store has that you are buying your fish from (people will sell you anything!) Research the kind of fish you like, to see if they are brackish, or aggresive (not all fish can live together) If you don't have the time, I wouldn't start one that's bigger than 50 gallons

I use to, but all the fish eventuallly died. Have to keep an eye on the temperature and know what fish work well together. It takes some effort and a little knowledge if you want a good one. It's rewarding and very calming to watch them when things are working good.

No, I have 2 fish bowls since I have 2 bettas.

When you get your tank, be sure to have the pet store worker help you get everything you need and help you to find fish that will get along.

Fifty five gallon. If you don't mind a suggestion, start with a 5 or 10 gallon til you learn how much work there is in taking care of one. It can be a real chore sometimes.

Not now but I used to have one in my room when I was a teen. Fish are hard to take care of. They aren't easy like some people think they are. So know that when you get them. They are hard to take care of. You have to take them out stick them in bucket or something and clean their tank like every week so they aren't easy to take care of. Sure they are fun to look at but just because they are small doesn't mean it doesn't take a little to take care of them because it does. My older brother's had his for years but he's been taking good care of his. I stopped because they are hard to take care of.
