There is a simpler way to do this than expanding that sh*t.

Recognize that the second term looks similar to
(a+6)^2 = a^2 + 12a + 36
So a^2 - 6a + 36 = (a + 6)^2 - 18a


So your expression becomes
(a + 6)^3 - 18a*(a + 6)

multiply by a then multiply by 6 then add like terms

a^3-6a^2+36a
6a^2-36a +216
