After 20+ years of smoking I started Chantix. I am on day 11 without cigarette and feel good. Barely any cravings and no more gums and candy for 4 days. Am I ready to stop taking my chantix?

Dr. David Sachs of Palo Alto, CA did the clinical testing to get this product on the market. He has given out protocols to doctors (should also be in the fineprint your pharmacist can show you) for how and when to taper off.
If your doctor hasn't covered this with you, talk to your pharmacist. Dr. Sachs, though busy, tries to make time to give free consults to doctors, so your doctor could call him, but make sure you and your doctor have read the original product information sheet before calling him. That's the one that covers everything from molecular composition description to dosaging to side effects.

The common treatment is to take the drug for 12 weeks after smoking cessation. I would stick with that if I were you...just to prevent any relapses.
