What does it take to be a Psychiatrist?

What type of degree do you need? What do Psychiatrist actually do? I live in Indiana.......Do you like the job? Is it hard to get in this field?

A psychiatrist is a doctor with an Medical Degree with a specialty in psychiatry.

So you would need to get a BS in Medicine. Then be accepted into medical school. Then be accepted into an internship. Then accepted into a psychiatry residency.
