you should consider an estimate of repairs and the same $$'s for another ride--- that is actually in good running order -- and see if you are better of with another car ------- the Ford Windstar was built to compete with the Plymouth Van-a-gone and so you are at the place trade-off or repair....... my money says to trade or buy into something better and no repair bills.....

i work for a car dealership. i do their financing. did you buy an extended warranty for the car? if you didn't sell it or donate it as is. ford winstars are not worth anything and the money you put in to replace the engine probably will be more then what it's worth. go buy another car and buy an extended warranty this time!
