Not likely according to this website that I found.
A tendency for giving birth to twins runs in the family. This is especially true of fraternal (not identical) twins. It is believed that twins skip a generation - however, this belief has no factual basis and is essentially nothing more than a myth. So if your grandmother or even your mother gave birth to twins, it is possible that you are carrying the gene which causes you to release more than one egg at a time, thus increasing the odds of having twins. This Dizygotic or two-egg twinning gene is passed down from female to female. So if your husband's mother had twins, it doesn't greatly influence the likelihood of you giving birth to twins.

Yes, the chances of your having a twin pregnancy is increased but your husband has nothing to do with it. First of all, fraternal (unidentical) twins occur because the mother at ovulation released 2 eggs instead of the usual one and both got fertilized. This tendency is genetic and runs in the mother's maternal family. It is multifactorial so it doesn't mean all the pregnancy Will be twin just that chances are increased. Other factors include increasing age (>35), your ethnicity (high in Africans, low in Japanese). A third group will be from the IVFs and other assisted pregnancy methods that cause more than one egg to be available for fertilization. You can find more information below

The genetic component of twinning is hyper-ovulation which leads to fraternal (non-identical) twins has to come from the mother's side. That means that your fiance's uncle having twins has to do with his wife's family not your fiance's family and in order for you to have more of a chance of having twins it would have to be in your family as well.

No, I'm sorry! Identical twins could happen to anyone, they are the same egg, but fraternal twins run through the mother's side only. If your mom, sister, or grandmother had fraternal twins, then your chances for having twins are better than someone who doesn't have twins in their family.
Good luck!

Identical twins are the spontaneous split into two embryos. Fraternal twins happen when the mother releases two eggs that both become fertilized. Neither of those circumstances are associated with anything on the man's side of the equation.

twins just happen. My friend has an identical twin. Everyone told his father (who is a fraternal twin) that he wouldn't have to worry about his wife having twins because twins don't have twins. Surpirse! they were wrong. It is what ever mother nature wants you to have.

Nothing, it usually skips a generation. So it's all genetic.
I am a twin, so my children might have twins. Nothing you can do can increase your chances of having twins. Sorry.

Probably not. Hereditary twins are a result of your genes, not his.
