In college, how many times can you miss class before they suspend you? Is it a certain number of times for each class, or is it how many times you've missed all together during the semester? Or does it just depend on the school? I have 2 classes on campus, I've missed one class about 4 times, and I've missed the other one twice. The semester has only been going since April 2. Bad, I know. I've been gettin sick a lot lately.

It depends on the school (read your student handbook to see if they have a policy), and on the individual instructor. Some have limits at which point you fail the course.

It might help if you contacted the instructor and explained your absences, and asked what you can do to make up the work. Especially for the one where you've missed four classes in less than three weeks, you're probably on very thin ice already. Be sure to hand in all assignments on time whether you're in class or not (you can email them), and work on not missing any more.

Your college catalog should disclose the school's policies (usually available online); however, each instructor may have their own policies as well, and you will look in the syllabus for those.

Like the other contributors, I suggest contacting the instructors right away, and bring a note from the Health Center because instructors will distinguish between excused and unexcused absences.

Lastly, connect with another student from each class and get the notes you missed plus read up on the chapters in the textbook you have not yet read; afterwards, see the instructor during her or his office hour times with questions--making a personal connection is often a good idea to try when you've gotten off on the wrong foot.

it doesn't depend on the school, it depends on the PROFESSOR. this semester i have 2 classes where attendance is mandatory and the other classes the prof doesn't care if we at all or not. but in the end it is our loss.so, talk to ur prof to know which one fits ur scenario. but they should tell u the first day of class.

get a note from the health center when you are really sick

also either plan on getting note or dropping the class if it gets bad.

depends on the class and the school
it might not matter for some lectures..... it will matterr for most classes.
