I'm having some trouble with this question for my history class.

~Probably because slavery didn't restrict the south in any way from doing anything. The slave masters and free white males were making the decisions as to the economy (and everything else) in the south. Slavery was a by-product of those decisions, not a cause.

um seriously? there was no diversity cause anyone different is a slave
