You need to think through your answers.

107 divided by 14 means how many 14's in 107. You know that 10 * 14 = 140, so the answer has to be less than 10.

So, how many 14's? 6*14 = 84 and 7*14 = 98 and 8*14 = 112. So you know the answer will be greater than 7 and less than 8.

When you do long division, you subtract the answer so 107-98 = 9 (this is your remainder)

So the answer is 7 and 9/14 ths.

Does that help?
