Trying to figure it out for grade nine science. It's using watts, not amps, for a question. What 's going on here? It's to find energy in joules.

Amperage multiplied by voltage equals wattage

Volts x Amps = Watts
1 Joule = 1 Watt/second

Convert amps to Watts just multiply times the voltage = the watts. Now Joules is a watt second .

You must multiply the amps by the volts in order to have watts
amp*volts= watts

Ohm is still correct.
P=IE ,easy to remember. P(ower) equals current( as expressed as I) times voltage (as expresed as E).
Then you use that as a simple algebra equation. Find the unknow.

If you have the voltage, then Power (watts) = Current x voltage
