Years ago i rented the movie "Police Academy 7: Mission to Moscow" and i remember sometime before it came out, there was a battle in moscow where Parliment members fought the government. It was huge news at the time.

During one broadcast there was a statement said about safety of "other" americans in the city, filming a new PA movie.

During car chase they pass Parliment and it pauses the screenand you can see and hear gun fire in the distance.

There was a coup in Moscow in 1991 with action outside of parliment including the famous shot of Yeltsin standing on the tank, and there was some parliment action in 1993.

Can anyone tell me for sure at which one was the filming of PA 7 taking place during?

Parliment tried to revolt against the fall of the Soviet Union and Yeltsin's new ways.

in "Police Academy 7: Mission to Moscow" there were shots of parliment in battle in the back ground./

~I am sure Police Academy was filmed as a historical documentary anything you see on screen or hear on the soundtrack were actual events caught as they occurred and the film crew kept right on shooting as the tanks rolled.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but wouldn't Parliament be the government? If so, how would the government go about fighting itself. Maybe you might want to look up the collapse of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev and Boris Yeltsin if you have any interest at all in the subject.

well, it was a 1994 movie...so it probably was 1993.
