"The five boy justices on the Supreme Court who voted to take away our reproductive freedom last week were treating us like silly girls who can’t be trusted to make our own decisions..."

To clarify: I will likely never have an abortion. Even if, say, it were to be determined that my child was severely physically or mentally handicapped (which is why some choose to end their pregnancies). The choice would likely bankrupt me and my family (lack of resources is the most frequent reason women have abortions), but I would probably not go through with an abortion.

My point is: who is the government to legislate MY reproductive organs? Moreover, why is their their piss-poor / patronizing argument that "women would change their minds if they knew how horrible the procedure was"??

The assumption that women un-thinkingly and "on a whim" have abortions is completely wrong.

Finally, I posed a hypothetical scenario to my husband in which I was pregnant, my life possibly in danger, and the only way to guarantee I lived was if we were to abort the baby...

Well, considering this new ban has completely altered previously established legislation that protects the Mother, I STILL cannot have an abortion UNTIL it is determined that I face "imminent death." What does this mean exactly? If there's a 50/50 chance of me dying, is it a sufficient threat of "imminent death"?

So, my husband's response to the question: "I guess we'd have to go to Canada."

I disagree with the Court's decision and the language used by Justice Kennedy in the Majority Opinion.

But why does this article make it all about boy-girl? Half the MEN in this country don't agree with that decision and half the WOMEN in this country do agree with it.

The important point isn't the gender of the justices, it's their allowing government to impose their uneducated opinion over the educated opinion of doctors.

Don't worry, there is no federal ban on the procedure and never will be. When necessary, these types of abortions will still be performed in Blue States and by doctors willing to cleverly find a way to rig the paperwork or justify the procedure.

I will never go to websites again since my last virus. If you feel strongly about it, you could take the time & effort to type it out. I believe in reproductive freedom. My daughter is an IUD baby. I chose to keep her.

They upheld the decision. You can't have something taken away that you never had.
Man......how bad of an insult would that be to a man? Gee? that was rape? I didn't notice.

Good, abortion should be illegal. If you don't want kids then don't have sex. Your lack of morals is no reason to murder!
