"The five boy justices on the Supreme Court who voted to take away our reproductive freedom last week were treating us like silly girls who can’t be trusted to make our own decisions..."

To clarify: I will likely never have an abortion. Even if, say, it were to be determined that my child was severely physically or mentally handicapped (which is why some choose to end their pregnancies). The choice would likely bankrupt me and my family (lack of resources is the most frequent reason women have abortions), but I would probably not go through with an abortion.
My point is: who is the government to legislate MY reproductive organs? Moreover, why is their their piss-poor / patronizing argument that "women would change their minds if they knew how horrible the procedure was"??
The assumption that women un-thinkingly and "on a whim" have abortions is completely wrong.

Finally, I posed a hypothetical scenario to my husband in which I was pregnant, my life possibly in danger, and the only way to guarantee I lived was if we were to abort the baby...
Well, considering this new ban has completely altered previously established legislation that protects the Mother, I STILL cannot have an abortion UNTIL it is determined that I face "imminent death." What does this mean exactly? If there's a 50/50 chance of me dying, is it a sufficient threat of "imminent death"?
So, my husband's response to the question: "I guess we'd have to go to Canada."
