Russia is now requiring their media to portray the U.S. as their enemy. Why is most of our own media ignoring this, along with the fact that Russia is snuggling up with Iran, who is in bed with Al-Qaeda? I would think it important for America to know who we're up against.

I feel that a lot of what Russia is doing is purely financial. They still have a very fragile economy. They are the main suppliers to many middle east countries and other questionably run states for goods, weapons and materials related to to nuclear energy.

I think that if Russia had other sources of income, other than being the supermarket for rogue states, this would not be an issue.

Because Russian freedom is currently not in the interests of the US - at least not from the media's point of view. Forget the fact that Putin has now abandoned freedom of speech, freedom of the press and certain parts of the free market. Russia is slipping slowly into a dictatorship completely free of even the pretence that it's for the benefit of the people. Russia's only even mildly benevolent leader from the last 150 years is now dead - and Russia's future looks bleak.

We all know the old saying turn about is fair play.

I guess so, since they are going back to Communism. Read the Ten Planks of Communism. Boris Yeltzin was the only one in favor of democracy, having holiday worship and free enterprise, giving rights and civil liberties to their people. God rest his soul!

I think that the most important thing for U.S. is to stop inventing more and more enemies. It's time for improving it's social policy and do something about ecology instead of wasting billions of dollars on military.U.S.S.R. doesn't exist for more than 15 years! and you can't fight the terrorists with F-16 and nuclear bombs.
