I found out recently that I have a small cyst on my cervix. I have not had a period since Feb. The Dr. said all this was normal. I just don't know how normal this is. I want to have kids one day, this will be cyst number three, the others was on my ovaries. I have been on birth control for years with regular cycles, I'm 24, not under or over weight and not pregnant, I made sure and got that checked. Endemetriosis runs in my family, should I be concerned? Has this happened to you?

This has happened to my sister. She missed four periods and was certain that she was pregnant. She took home pregnancy tests and they were negative. So she went to the clinic, again negative. Finally, she to the gynecologist, and they told her that she is in fact not pregnant. Instead they told her that she has a cyst and that her body is not producing the female hormones. She also has a lower chance of becoming pregnant. By the way it sounds, your doctor isn't really helping you out. My sister had to take a certain birth control shot to produce the female hormone to make her have a normal menstrual cycle. I recommend changing you doctor to someone with answers. I think you should be concerned. I hope everything goes well and hope that you are able to one day have your kids. Good Luck!!

With two missed periods it could be stress related but I would definitely talk to your dr to see if you might have a hormone imbalance such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome going on that could be affecting your periods.

As for the cyst on your cervix, it's called a Nabothian cyst and they are pretty normal to have. I have about 3 of them on my cervix.

I also have endometriosis so I empathize with you.
