I've noticed that some people who are nicest, sweetest people get treated like garbage. Why is this?

ummm, really good question- i guess its because they dont ask for much in return.
maybe they get taken advantage from other people and then just get thrown to the side. people can be very self-centered and not realize what's going on around them and dont take notice of who goes in and out of their lives. time's short and everyone's in a rush. i think we all need to take a breather and really stop and think about the last time someone did something nice to them without asking for anything in return.
also, nice people are not usually demanding which adds to the whole other people not taking the time to take notice of them
im really liking this question - i think i'll add it to my starred questions list!! keep it up!

I used to be the same when I was younger and then last year I made one really good friend and became part of his group of friends. Eventually you'll meet people on your wavelength. In the meantime don't let them get you down, easier said than done I know. Remember that they are not better than you, they never have been and never will be. Try new things as well. Join school clubs and stuff, I know that initially if there is some idiot in the club they will put you down and you might feel self conscious but trust me, when people get to know the real you then they will respect you for who you are. Just stay strong and remember, when you leave school you never have to see any of them ever again and people are totally different when they've left anyhow. I hope this helps xx

Some people mistake kindness for weakness... little do some realize that kindness is a *choice*. Choosing kindness is one of the most difficult things to do.

Some people who choose kindness are wrapped up in co-dependent relationships... and in these, they give and give and give... but often don't have the skills to put up boundaries to discourage those who react unkindly. To a certain extent, this type of relationship is the *fault* of both people involved... both the kind person and the @rse.

And then there are the folks who disdain all others... (the sort that see kindness as the action of a fool). Like other people that posted, I believe that they will *get their own* back. What goes around, comes around... and it tends to pick up speed, momentum, and strength on the return trip!

I think because we are too soft and won't make a fuss over being treated poorly. I sure have been treated bad by others, and it is not very nice. I am learning to grow a backbone to deal with those issues. And will face them when the time is right.

maybe they are too nice and think of others too much that they dont think enough of themselves to stand up to others that are hurting them bc they are scared in hurting the hurters feelings. Or maybe they have low self esteem it just may not seem that way.
IF you do and do and do for others and they dont appreciate the fact that you are a nice person and willing to do things for them bc you care the person you are always doing the things for may not see how nice you are or appreciate it enough and the person you are doing for will take advantage of you and if you dont stop doing the things you do or tell them to stop they will just keep taking advantage of you and treat you like crap bc they can and you will still do the things you are doing.
These are just guesses here.

Some people, ( Ilike to believe that I am one of them ), don't mind how they are treated in this life, because we believe that for every injustice done to us, there will be a reward in heaven.
Sometimes I want to just give up on some people who keep using me, but I know that I never will.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth.
Meek is the opposite of prideful.

I think that maybe sometimes people see them as weak or push-overs. I noticed that alot too that the nicest people get treated like absolute crap.

Because there are, inevitably, people who like to take advantage of those who seem weaker or reluctant to be hostile. Of course, I've also witnessed situations in which someone that everyone thinks is nice can go ape**** when they've had enough.

Funny you ask that today, I am too nice to everyone around me I guess. I go out of my way for my friends and I always seem to get trampled on. Sorry, I don't have an answer for you, but I will wait right along with you to get one.
