It's lost whenever your cervix starts to open. That could be anytime, but usually 36 weeks or later. I don't remember ever seeing mine, though. Many women don't.

Some people loose their mucus plug about a week or two before going into labor..... it can happen anytime... there is no such thing as which week you are "suppose" to loose it... some people dont loose it at all and just goes into labor... good luck... hope that helped....

I am 37 weeks pregnant, I don't believe that I have lost mine...I asked my mother who has had three of us- she said that she never noticed losing it, perhaps it comes out gradually not necessarily in one piece. Some lose it when they are already in labor, it just depends. As for when it comes out, that varies! Everyone is different. If you go to the doctor and they say that you are dialated, chances are that you have already lost it. When the cervix opens is when it will be loose enough to fall out.

The mucus plug is usually lost when you are close to delivery. When I gave birth to my son it came out stuck on his head. Everyone is different... It is commonly called a 'show'! Good luck

Some women lose it right before they go into labor, and some women don't ever notice losing it. I lost mine at 35 weeks, and they told me not to worry, I could still go full-term, but I didn't. I went into labor a day or two later.

It can happen at any time. I lost mine a month before I even had my son. Some people lose it days before. So there is no set time frame for it and losing it doesn't mean your going into labor soon.

The "plug" wasn't as such for me- it was just smattering of slimy mucus for about a week leading up to the labour- nasty undies, and general discomfort thanks to a constantly hiccupping baby....
