See a doctor. Some people aren't real regular, and others are like clockwork. The best thing to do is to have your doctor check to make sure that everything is working right, even if it's irregular.

Dont freak out. My friend got the shot right after she had her son, and she never even got her period. She stopped taking it like 2 or 3 months ago and she still hasn't had it. If i were you i would be careful, because you could get pregnant. Im not sure that it completely stopped you from ovulating, but that would be something i would ask my doctor. If you are wanting to have a baby, sometimes the shot wont allow it for a couple of years. But in all people it is different. So unless you want a baby now, then use protection. well just ask your doctor, they can answer any questions that you have.

Here is what was told to me when i quit depo....It will take anywhere from 6 months to maybe 2 yrs its normal yes.. However do not go back on it ..!!! Take it from me it eats the lining of your uterus and that could be what is up with you .. i have been there and through that.. Yes you can get pregnant but it may take a while... More than likely you have stopped ovulating for a short period.... YOU should just wait it out and i know that's hard but since it happened to me i NOW have two children!!!!!

Join THAT club, girl. Being irregular isn't harmful, it just makes it a little more challenging to get pregnant. It can be done, but timing is everything. You just have to hit it just when your body is ready. My OB said give it a year. If you still can't get pregnant, then they look for a reason why. Depo, and any hormone, does mess with your body's natural timing. But once you're off it your body goes back to doing it's own thing. One thing I did learn while trying to conceive is that herbal remedies (echinacea, st. johns wort, etc) DO mess with your fertility. Most importantly, you need to meet with an OB or midwife just to get a routine exam, and let them know you want to get pregnant. They'll make some good recommendations. Good luck!

Everything should straighten out eventually, but it will probably take some time. I used to take Depo and it messed me up bad too. I took my last shot in February of 2003 and didn't get pregnant with my son until December 2004.
Also a friend of mine took Depo and she wasn't able to conceive for 3 years.

No it isn't harmful that you don't get a regular cycle...Yes you can get pregnant depending on how long it's been since you stopped taking the shot.
Yes you stop ovulating while taking that...But pending on how long you've stopped the shot, you'll get your cycle again..
Just wait it out BUT use protection before having intercourse..

Yes you can STILL get pregnant just because you are not having a regular cycle you will still ovulate it might not be every month but it don't stop happening. use condoms if you are going to be promiscuous see a female DR. to see if there is something you can do to get your cycles strait. Hope that this helps
