x+2/x+8=x-2/x+4

Subtract an x from both sides of the equation
2/x+8=-2/x+4

Subtract 8 from both sides of the equation
2/x = -2/x-4

Add 2/x to both sides of the equation
4/x = -4

Multiply both sides of the equation by x

4 = -4x or 4x = -4

Divide both sides of the equation by 4

x = -1

By the way, the denominator of a fraction always implies division.

Well I'm not sure if its right but first the x's cancel out. then subtract 2/x from the left side to get
8= -4/x + 4
then subtract 4 from the left =
4 = -4/x
then multiply both sides by x to get :
4x = -4
then divide both sides by 4 and x = -1
good luck hope it helps
