I'll be 4 months pregnant on sunday but i think i may have a bladder infection. I feel like i have to use the bathroom really bad but only a little comes out and my stomach is sore to the touch. Should i make an appt tomorrow or go to the emergency room? Ive never had a bladder infection but i hope its that and not something worse!!!

You know what? Bladder infections are just aweful. Especially because there is absolutely nothing you can do to ease it or make it go away on your own. People say drink cramberry juice or take cranberry pills, that just helps prevent them, not make them go away. And yes, that sounds like exactly what you have. I had one around 4 months too. I would feel like I had a full bladder litteraly 24/7 it was so bad I couldnt even sleep. I would go to the hospital if I were you. Why wait it out until tomorrow and be miserable even longer? I dont think you have anything worse. Youd be surprised just how bad bladder infections can get. And if you let them go too long, it can also cause a kidney infection. So go get it fixed now. Youll feel better. email me and let me know how you do okay? Congrats on the baby!

Hi. Cranberry pills do not 'cure' bladder infections,or any other infections. And it also does not prevent bladder infections. May I suggest you and your partner start wearing condoms,as this will certainly deter any possible bladder infections in the future. As well as any/all potential STD's. Hope this helps. Take care. Ooh,and make sure you make an appointment to see your primary care doctor(the 1 who prescribed you the antibiotics) for a urine test to check for a bladder infection. Again, hope this helps.

I would schedule an appointment. When you are pregnant you go to the restroom frequently however; if your stomach is sore to the touch then it is probably a bladder infection. I kept them when I was pregnant! Just schedule a appointment to be seen because even if it is just a bladder infection you will need to get antibiotics to get rid of it anyway. Hope this helped! Good Luck and CONGRATULATIONS children are the most precious thing in the world! I wish you and your child all the best!!

Sounds like a bladder or urinary tract infection but I am not a doctor (and even if I were of course wouldn't give medical advice or diagnose here!) By all means please check with your doc- maybe put in a phone call to him or her? You might want to think about going to an immediate care type place if it becomes worse, with an ER as a last resort- you're unlikely to be as comfortable there. Meanwhile drink LOTS of water. If it is a bladder infection that's going to be a top priority and if it isn't it's not going to hurt you .
Best of luck- feel better soon!

Well, it's normal to feel the constant need to pee, you have a person pushing on your bladder. It's also normal to feel like you have to go REALLY bad but only a few trickles come down, it's just the pressure. However, if you're having abdominal pain consult a doctor. Whenever you have questions or concerns ask your doctor. You should make an appointment. It could be nothing, but it's better to be safe and check. I'm 28wks now and i have experience the tango with the bathroom, and the uncomfortable tightness in the stomach. Just check with your doctor to make sure everything's ok. Good Luck!

It sounds like it may just be a bladder infection, but since you're pregnant you might want to call you OB and let them know what's going on. They'll be able to instruct you on what to do better than we will on here.

Make an appointment, but in the meantime, there are over the counter medications you can take.
