use the compass to measure the length of the median, then from the edge of the median draw a curve the same length away from the original median around. then from anywhere on that curve, draw another curve the length of B... and from that curve, draw another with the length of C.. see where the two of them intersect.. boom you have a triangle

Draw side b. Bisect it. Strike an arc from the midpoint with the median as the radius. Strike another arc from one end with radius c. Connect one intersection of the arcs to the endpoints of b.
