For some reason or other my turn signals are NOT working, when I flip the switch either way I get nothing... ...Not even that clicking sound you'd hear from any turn signal indicating it's turned on. Some times NOT even the brake lights work. It's NOT the light bulbs because they are brand new. I am thinking it may be the wiring, but I'm NOT sure and I really need to find out how to fix this problem. I really dont have the extra cash to pay a mechanic $110.00 per hour to sniff out the problem... in addition to that my rear defroster is also NOT working. I need some info on how to make this right... without spending a bundle of money I dont have... Thanks in advance...

Check fuse #1 in the i/p fuse panel. It feeds the turn signal flasher and also the rear defroster. It no problem found, check the flasher itself. If ok, problem is most likely the multi-function switch in the column.

The turn signal switch is bad. The brake light line goes through that switch since it's the same bulb.

Replace your flasher. The round thing in the fuse box under the dash, or just kind of dangling behind the dash.

Replace the relay under the hood for the defroster, or plug it back in.

You're out of flicker fluid for one.

Next, you need to check to transponder.

Thirdly, you need to get a real car that isn't a Mustang.

Lastly, it sounds like there is way too much wrong with that car to fork out the cash to fix it. Well, maybe changing your fuses will fix it. I'm not sure though... it's not like I don't work on cars or anything.

try checking the fuse boxes, first under the dash, and the other under the hood. the blinkers run on a different fuse circuit from the brake lights.
