anyone who comes to you to setup a meeting with Barzini is the traitor. He will guarantee your safety but have you assasined.

My question is

How did Vito Carleone figure this plot by the traitor.

Because the Don was a wily, cynical old mafia leader who knew that the one suggesting the meeting - and supposedly guaranteeing Michael's safety - would naturally be the Judas who sold him out.
