You sound like me. I had lots of job some good ones making a lot of money but never felt like i had a career and never stayed happy for long.
Some people say find a hobby that you can make money but that wasn't the case for me see i didn't wear much make up ( loved the skin care) and sales was the last thing I would consider.
When my Mary Kay consultant told me about the opportunity I said no way I was not interested it wasn't for me. When you start having children your priorities change and I need flexibility with an income that i was use to having. I decided what do i have to loose to give it a try so I did. I since quite my full time job with a large financial institution and I am home with my children. I had no idea how much it would change me life. I have the freedom and flexibility I needed and find I am happier and more energetic. I make money while having fun and have met some great people along the way.
If you would have told me 3 years ago this is what i would be doing i would have told you that you were crazy.
So my advice have an open mind and try anything that interest you.
Good luck!

Maybe the problem isn't the careers. Maybe it is you!

I don't mean that as an insult, but perhaps you need to self-reflect and find out what it is that is making you unhappy. You can try career counseling or go back to school, but ultimately the ability to be happy with a career is within you, regardless of the career. If you don't have the right attitude and understanding about what you want in life, no career will make you happy.
