That would be governed by your local zoning ordinance. You probably need a conditional use permit. You need to call the city zoning department.

Yes. That is considered an "enterprise" even though it is non profit. It violates the residential covenants and ordinances. You can apply for a permit from the city, OR if you aren't in the city limits, go to your home owner's association and ask for a waiver.

Idk but dont you think it would be wierd have strangers coming in your house all the time - using your bathroom, etc. and do you even have a room to put pews in? and you'd have to have an altar and other expensive stuff. i dont hthink its a great idea, plus possibly illegal- but if you are really rich and can find a priest , and its legal . . . is say, GO FOR IT : )
