I don't normally ask just anybody out on a date, but this person is one of few who is a Christian and actually follows God, and doesn't just talk about him but goes to church! She is a co-worker from my place of work but I don't want to be wrong about this... I can't show my emotions to just anybody but she has been a different story, I know right now my not be the time to ask her but how long is it toas someone out from the time you really got to know them... also any bible statements would be loved?

In Genesis 2:24 we read, For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. From this verse we get a clear picture of what marriage, and therefore what dating, should look like. Specifically, a man should leave prior to cleaving. That is, a man should be spiritually and emotionally responsible for himself apart from his parents.

Have a look at this as maybe this could help you for resources. I am not into dating one at present so I think your best bet is to find some books on it and talk this over with your pastor or a church elder whom you can trust.

Get to know them as a friend and beyond that time will tell. Pray about it and seek God's guidance on it.
