im doing a project on technological advances int he last 20 years and i need to no some i no there are some many that i cant even start to think of them

You could not have asked this question over the internet 20 years ago- it did not exist. There was no satellite TV, hell there were no TV remotes. No Xbox, no Ipod, no MP3 players. Cassetes were in, Beta was the thing, disco had come and gone (thank god). MTV was new and the videos were bad... should give you a start.
If you have parents...try asking them.

Memory has become cheap. An 8 Gigabyte harddrive will fit in a small match box and costs $90 instead of a 10 Megabyte Drive being a box 5.25W x 3.25H costing $350. Cell phones weighed 2 pounds and only dialed phone numbers (no directories, texting, GPS)
