I heard they break when you use a pan that might have something stuck on the bottom of it and other ways of it happening. How expensive are they to replace. I had a customer say she replaced hers 4 times...why would they be a good choice if that happens?

I've got a Jenn-Aire cooktop. Had it for 12 years and have never had a problem with it. We have boiled stuff over on the cooktops and it cleans up with baking soda, to like new condition. They look nice and work good .

I've never had a customer complain about glass cook tops, much less break one. I've lived in several new homes and my wife always selected glass tops for the cook-top. She cleans homes, too, and says that they are easy to keep clean.

I have had one for going on 9 years now and never had any problem.
Always keep the top clean.
Don't put your pots/pans down hard on the glass.

i love mine.i've had it about six years. the only problem i have ever heard of with them,is you don't put a wet pan on a hot burner or it could crack.(my bosses wife did this on her glass top,in their brand new home)
