At the moment, I'd probably laugh maniacally and give the bearer of the news a big, sloppy kiss.
I've only been fired (laid off, down sized, right sized, terminated) twice in my life, and I have to say..I was thrilled both times. Financially, it was a bit tough, but emotionally I was thrilled.
The only time I could understand shooting coworkers was one truly nasty workplace..I've never seen so many mean, witchy women in one place in my life. I could see how someone could let it get to them enough to bring in an Uzi. I wouldn't, but I could finally see how some place could be awful enough to impact someone that way.

it incredibly is? we are going to see. All i know is that the White Sox have been very plenty interior a similar boat by way of fact the Cubs. They hire Ozzie. They grow to be aggressive. They win the international series. Then, he has a key participant stink up the region (Rios) and yet another paid extensive greenbacks to suck (Dunn). With a .250 hitter with 5 homestead run ability they'd have gained the branch. in the event that they fireplace him the gang that snaps him up would be very fortunate certainly. i'm hoping he keeps to be.

I was fired from GE over a year ago. I was blacklisted from my trade as that was the only experience I had in that field. I couldn't use them as a reference and had to start a new line of work.
I knew that I was in BIG trouble. But knowing that, I didn't give them the satisfaction of me being worried. I shook my now ex boss's hand, loaded my stuff into my car and left with my head held high. As far as they know, I didn't give a **** about their crappy job.

some people really love their job and think that they can't find another one, so they take it very personally. I would never kill myself or hurt myself over losing a job, but some people are just...sensitive and jealous.
I would react by rolling my eyes and showing my boss what a huge mistake they made by helping another company get money.

I would say this "I am finally getting my wish and I am glad to get fired, now I can go find a job with a decent boss and a decent pay wage!"

I would be very polite, say thank you, tell them to have a nice day, then go and have a martini, proceed home, probably toss and turn through the night, but then tomorrow will be another day, you have to be optimistic, for every door that closes, another one, at the very least, will open.

I've been laid off several times when a new management team comes in...they want their own people...that has always come with a hefty severence package and so I never fretted....it's part of business and I have been on both sides of that fence...so I completely understand....unless you are a total screw up, it is rarely a personal thing

I don't think it's a big deal, this things just happen. I don't go on a rampage to get revenge on my boss or company. I get my stuff and start my new job.

I'm a teacher. When I change schools, the next school will contact my last school. If the report is bad then I have to find a brand new profession.
