the sun fuels itself from hydrogen fission. 4 hydrogens make a helium. this gives out a lot of energy. our sun has a life expectancy of 10 billion years, it is 5 billion years old and will last for another 5 billion

there is enough hydrogen in the sun to keep it burning for another 5,000,000,000 (5 billion) years so i dont think you should worry about the sun burning out anytime soon.
